“We hebben de lange reis naar het nieuwe circuit in Bariloche gemaakt. Het was een zeer goed georganiseerd evenement met een prima circuit, dus het was al met al een plezierig weekend. Ik was erg tevreden over de manier waarop Kay reed. Hij heeft hard gewerkt tijdens de winterstop en we reden met exact dezelfde motorspecificaties als waarmee hij vorig jaar de laatste GP's reed. Zijn rondetijden lagen steeds dichter bij die van de koplopers, wat een duidelijke verbetering bij Kay zelf laat zien.
Helaas hadden we in de tweede race een probleem toen hij op de achtste plaats reed met nog ongeveer drie ronden te gaan. Dat was nu eenmaal zo en had niet voorkomen kunnen worden. Nu richten we ons op de rest van het kampioenschap. Kay is in goede vorm en het is fijn om met hem samen te werken, dus ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat zowel hij als het team zich nog flink zullen verbeteren.
We blijven de motor ook in de komende races verder ontwikkelen om de achterstand op de fabrieksmachines te verkleinen, hoewel we momenteel enigszins beperkt worden door de levertijden voor bepaalde onderdelen; sommige componenten hebben tot wel tien maanden nodig om te arriveren.
Dit weekend vertegenwoordigt Taylor het team ook in de openingsronde van het Brits kampioenschap op Hawkstone Park, waar we hopen om gedurende het seizoen sterke resultaten te behalen in de MX1-klasse. Daarna reist het team af naar Spanje voor de volgende MXGP-ronde op 22 maart in Andalusië.

"Zaterdag voelde ik me goed met P11 in de tijdtraining. In de kwalificatierace had ik een aanrijding met een andere rijder bij de start, waardoor ik van de laatste plaats naar P12 moest, wat prima was en qua snelheid voelde ik me goed.
Zondag was er in de eerste manche helaas weer een crash bij de start, maar ik heb me teruggevochten naar P11, waar ik best tevreden mee was. In de tweede manche had ik een redelijke start en werkte ik me op naar P8, waar ik tot 3 ronden voor het einde bleef. Toen kreeg ik echter een probleem met mijn motor, waardoor mijn weekend ten einde kwam... maar al met al ben ik blij met de vooruitgang van deze winter en ik ben hongeriger dan ooit voor de volgende ronde! "

“We made the long trip to the new track in Bariloche, it was a very well organised event with a good circuit, so it was an enjoyable weekend overall. I was really happy with the way Kay rode. He’s worked hard over the off-season and we ran the exact same bike specification that he used in the final GPs last year. His lap times were consistently closer to the front, which shows a clear improvement from Kay himself.
Unfortunately, we had an issue in the second race while he was running 8th place with about 3 laps to go, which was just one of those things and couldn’t really have been avoided. Now we’ll focus on building towards the rest of the championship. Kay is in a good place and he’s a great character to work with, so I’m confident there’s a lot of improvement coming from both him and the team.
We’re also continuing to develop the bike over the coming rounds to help close the gap to the factory machines, although at the moment we’ve been a little limited by lead times for certain parts, with some components taking up to ten months to arrive.
This weekend we’ll also see Taylor representing the team in the opening round of the British Championship at Hawkstone Park, where we hope to push for strong results in the MX1 class throughout the season. After that, the team heads to Spain for the next MXGP round on March 22nd in Andalucia.”

"I felt good on Saturday with P11 in time practice. In the qualification moto I had a collision with another rider at the start, so I had to go from last to P12 which was okay and speedwise I felt good.
Sunday first moto unfortunately again there was a start crash, but I pushed through to P11, which I was quite happy about. In the second moto I had an okay start and made my way up to P8 and stayed there till 3 laps to go and had an unfortunate bike problem which ended my weekend… but all in all, happy to see the progress from this winter and I'm hungrier than ever heading into the next round!"
